Çankırı Karatekin University was established on 17.11 following the establishment of Çankırı Karatekin University with the "Law on the Organization of 
Higher Education Institutions and the Law on Amendments to the Decree Law on the Staff of Faculty Members of Higher Education Institutions and the Tables 
Annexed to the Decree Law on the General Staff and Procedure" published in the Official Gazette dated 29 May 2007 and numbered 26636. In 2008, the first 
Secretary General was appointed and the unit started its activities.
